Wonderers and Wanderers
The little lambs here on the farm are growing by leaps and bounds. They’re also doing their fair share of leaping and bounding, which is adorable and hilarious to watch.

Where Did She Go?
Lambing season is coming to an end here on the farm, and there are currently over 500 little lambs frolicking around in the fields. Each day as I go out for my prayer walk, I’m amazed by the diversity all around me. One type of sheep has thicker and longer wool than others. Some have long tails like a dog. Some sheep are white, while others are black or brown. There are even some around here that are white with black markings on their faces, making it appear as if they are wearing masks.

The Cleft of the Rock
Over the past couple of weeks, the weather here in Wales has been beautiful, so I’ve taken to walking the property here on the farm. Not only are there various hiking trails available within walking distance of our temporary home, but there is also a beautiful little lake with views overlooking the mountains and other scenery. So, each day, I pull on my boots and stroll along the winding paths. Some days, I pray. Others, I think. And some, I just watch the world around me.

Tales of Moo and Poo
Since moving to Wales in mid-January, we’ve learned a lot of interesting facts about farm life in this country. For example, lambing season generally takes place in March and April, which means we’re privileged to watch little lambs scamper around the fields. So cute! Also, because of the long, wet winters, the cows are usually kept in the barns until spring. The main reason for this is that the ground becomes so wet and soggy that it is easy for the cows to break their legs. Not good! So, until recently, the cows on the farm here were heard but not seen as they were locked away in the barn.

My Sheep Know My Voice
One of the joys of living here on the farm is watching the sheep. They really are crazy creatures. It’s fun to watch them graze, follow each other around the field, kneel on their front paws to munch on luscious grass, and take off running when they hear the sound of the tractor or four-wheeler bringing breakfast. I admit I’ve laughed a lot surveying these peculiar beasts.

Bees on the Brain
For the past few weeks, I’ve been busy co-planning a mother/daughter luncheon. We decided on a bee theme and set about finding decorations, paper goods, and gifts centered around the theme. It’s been a lot of fun, but I can officially say I have bees on the brain. I dream in yellow and black. Every time I use the word “be,” I turn it into some form of “bee” pun. Everywhere I look, I see things that would fit the theme, though not necessarily the budget. My mind is abuzz with bees! (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)

Filled to Overflowing
I don’t know about you, but I desire to be so full of God that He flows out of me and touches everyone I meet. So, I do the things I know to do to get “topped up” with God’s love and goodness. I spend time in His Word. I pray. I attend church and worship. All good things, right?

Bowed Down By Burdens
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. - Luke 13:11-13

Comparing, Complaining, or Content?
No matter where you live or what stage of life you’re in, we all have to make a daily (and sometimes moment-to-moment) choice about our attitudes. Yes, as difficult as it is to believe and admit, we can—and do—choose our attitudes. We put them on just as we would a warm coat or a pair of socks. Sometimes we do it without even thinking, but we do it just the same.

Doing It Afraid
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. - Psalm 56:3
Have you ever wanted to do something for God but felt so paralyzed by fear that you refused to step out in faith? Have you ever felt God calling you to something that scared the water out of you (figuratively or literally)?
