God-Confidence Is Limitless - A Series on Confidence, Part 2
If you did not read the previous post, I encourage you to do so because we are beginning a new series on the topic of confidence. Yesterday, I distinguished between self-confidence, man-confidence, and God-confidence. Because God is the only One who can be fully trusted, it is God-confidence we will be focusing on for the remainder of this study.
I spent several minutes this morning reading through various verses about confidence, and I admit, I received a blessing. I jotted down several points and hope to cover them in the coming weeks, but I warn you, there is no real rhyme or reason to their order. And while some of the verses focus on what confidence is, others detail what it does or how it affects our lives. So, while this may not be a polished outline, I feel led to share it with you just as it is.
Today, I want to talk to you about how God-confidence is limitless. According to our key verse, God is the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea. That means God can be my confidence and yours too. In fact, He can be the confidence of all those who put their trust in Him. And here's the great (though mind-blowing) part--we get all of Him. It's not like God has to divide Himself out among all of us, with each of us getting a small portion of Him. I can have complete God-confidence, and so can you. We don't have to share it, nor do we have to share Him.
Our confidence is not limited by His availability but rather by our willingness to trust in Him. The more we're willing to trust, the more God-confidence we'll have. What a blessing to know that the confidence we can have in Him knows no bounds! It is freely available to all who put their faith in Him.
