The Limitless Grace of God

Have you ever felt the pressure of limitations? In my writing world, it's all about word counts. Many software programs I use offer a specific number of words for a set monthly charge. If I run over my allotted limit, I have to pay extra (sometimes, a lot extra). Therefore, I regularly check my word counters like a nervous bank account holder, ensuring I haven't overdrawn my monthly linguistic budget. It's a constant dance of creativity and calculation.

Thankfully, God doesn't operate on a word count system. There's no divine limit on His love, patience, or grace. We won't find a heavenly dashboard flashing "Overdraft" when we stumble or mess up.

I find a sweet reminder of God's infinite patience in my word count struggles. When I wrestle with sentences and paragraphs, His grace isn't ticking down like a clock. Instead, it's an ever-flowing fountain, and there's no shortage.

Imagine if we had to keep tabs on God's love like I do with my word count. How stressful would that be? "Uh-oh, said a harsh word today, deducted a bit of love. Lost my temper? Subtract some more." Thankfully, that's not how our relationship with God works.

God's love isn't metered out in small, manageable portions. It's a lavish, boundless, and ever-present force. There's no need to ration it or worry about running out. The Bible assures us of this truth. Psalm 103:8 beautifully captures the essence: "The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy." It's not about limited quantities. It's about an abundance of mercy and grace.

So, the next time life's struggles make you feel like you're approaching a divine word limit, remember this: God's love is limitless. His grace doesn't expire, and His patience is beyond measure. You can't run out of His understanding, and His forgiveness is ever-ready.
